Wedding engagement dinner

It is customary for the engaged couple to
have both sets of parents over for dinner to
announce the
engagement. This good news is better told in person and not over the phone
or in a letter. Even if both sets of parents know about the wedding, it is
always nice to have the two sets of parents meet and socialize together.
Typically, the proposal, wedding plans and announcement of the engagement are
discussed over the dinner. The parent's dinner is usually a home cooked meal at
