Wedding Rehearsal
|
The wedding rehearsal is not only an opportunity for the
wedding
attendants to practice walking down the aisle and stand in their correct
places, but also a chance for the religious officiant to meet the wedding
party. Until now the officiant, who is your liaison between the church or
synagogue and you, has probably only met the man and woman he/she will be
marring. The officiant should be introduced to both sets of parents and all the
wedding attendants, as well as any singers or readers who you will have in the
ceremony. People who will sing or read at the ceremony should practice during
the wedding rehearsal. It is always a good idea to check that the microphones
and the speakers are working. Readers will most likely read out of the church
or synagogue's Holy Scripture and should practice from it. Sometimes
translations can be slightly different, so it's important for readers to find
this out ahead of time. By Nicole Mazzeo Wrapwithus wedding favors |
